Newark 24/7 Urgent Care Center now has Point of Care Ultrasound

The Newark 24/7 Urgent Care Center team is excited to announce Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS), a fantastic technology that gives the trained clinician a more in-depth assessment of the patient’s complaints.  POCUS is used in real-time, at the bedside, as an adjunct to the patient’s history and physical exam to evaluate for certain conditions.  We do not perform comprehensive examinations that would otherwise be performed by an ultrasound technician and interpreted by a radiologist.  The POCUS team is led by Dr. Jennifer Mink, MD FACEP FPD-AEMUS who is fellowship trained in Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound (AEMUS) and holds her Focused Practice Designation in AEMUS.  Come check out our machines and see our staff in action!
